The flat is 95 square metres and has a typically long and narrow hallway. The building dates back to the Jugendstil period, which we symbolically brought back to life with various details during the six-month renovation. During the remodelling, we opened up the kitchen to the entrance area by replacing the brick wall with a glass wall. The client wanted to keep the kitchen separate as he cooks a lot. Other rooms in the flat are: Bathroom, bedroom, formal living/dining room and an adjoining office/movie room. The 35-year-old bachelor had a great appreciation for European history. Literature and art have always been present in his life due to his parents professions, which is why both books and artworks are so present at his home. We decided to reflect his passion in our design choices. Our eclectic compositions of vintage and modern furniture and artwork became a curated journey through continental and British design. From English Victorian and German Art Nouveau tiles to Polish Art Deco and Italian Modernism, this home is a personal collection enriched by modern art and lighting.
The project has been featured in many online publications - Architectural Digest, AD Germany, AD France, AD Italia, AD Spain, AD Mexico and Vogue Polska.
