The green shelter room

Berlin 2018

STUDIO IN KREUZBERG

AREA: 59 m2

Farrow & Ball inchira blue bedroom

The ensuite bedroom in a rather big Berlin studio was designed to become a peaceful shelter to hideaway after a long day. The only personal item that the owner wanted to keep was her antique armchair. For me, it became a starting point of the colour palette, departing from its clearly feminine form into into a more unisex look of the full space. As if a girl grew up and developed her personality. Architecturally, I decided to add an extra wall behind the bed to fit in a walk-in closet. Fixed elements, such as the bathroom fixtures, stucco and light switches have been chosen to remind of the hundred-year long history of the building.

“Studio Bosko helped me manage and my chaos and put a meaning to the things I own. The space feels more purposeful now.”
